director of global marketing & Communications

As an experienced leader who has built a successful brand, you will join the senior leadership team and be responsible for our brand and image worldwide. You will guide and support the marketing and communications efforts across regional offices in Canada, USA, UK, and Australia while directly managing and overseeing our global reach which spans 50+ countries and 12+ languages.

You are right for this role if you have a proven track record of success in helping small organizations, start-ups, or social movements. You are excited about setting a strategy, defining tactics, jumping in to apply your insights and ideas, and adapting, learning, and growing personally and professionally.

The size and scope of our ministry means no two days will look alike, but among other tasks, you will be responsible for:
  • Dreaming up, planning, and executing a marketing plan for the organization
  • Overseeing all Divine Renovation social media accounts and providing regular reports on campaign performance and metrics
  • Developing and executing social media campaigns and ad-spends
  • Driving and delivering successful email campaigns and evolving our DRIP marketing
  • Oversight on the development/evolution of the Divine Renovation website and responsibility for drafting and evolving website copy
  • Supporting our Executive Directors in their marketing efforts across all 4 regional offices
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with our partners (TV, podcast, social, etc.) to identify and orchestrate opportunities to share what the Holy Spirit is doing through Divine Renovation
  • Leading, coaching, and managing our small video production team in creating video content for social media, fundraising, and marketing plans
  • Fostering and managing relationships with contract production and marketing collaborators globally
  • Developing the strategy and plan for the ministry’s communications content, with a primary focus on content to inspire priests and lay people that the move to mission is possible (including online and social content, content that show cases stories of success as well as digital and in person events), and secondary areas of focus including development of materials that communicate our story and impact to donors and third parties
  • Developing a robust scorecard for both marketing and communications work to assess impact and evolve based on results
  • Overseeing the lead for global events
  • Actively participating in the senior leadership of Divine Renovation, supporting senior colleagues and collaborating with them to animate the ministry’s mission

You are ideally prepared for this role if you:
  • Bring 10-15 years of leadership experience in marketing and communications with a strong track record of success that has left a lasting impact
  • Have a bachelor’s or advanced degree in marketing, business, and/or communications, or equivalent experience
  • Are familiar and comfortable working with the StoryBrand model of marketing
  • Have experience managing staff teams in a global and virtual environment
  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills
  • Have experience (direct or as team lead) with producing audio/video and written content
  • Have a rich faith life and deep appreciation and fluency with the Catholic church

This is a full-time permanent position that will require a minimum of 40 hours a week. As is typical of an Executive position, a level of flexibility in working unusual or additional hours to meet business need is required. This position reports directly to the President of Divine Renovation and is part of the Divine Renovation Global team. We offer competitive pay and benefits based on your location and the nature of the work. Our work is primarily remote, which allows us to accept candidates located anywhere in the world, though preference is given to candidates located in Canada. You must be comfortable with an entirely online workplace, but still be ready to travel as needed for important meetings and conferences.

We work with bishops, pastors, and lay leaders globally to reinvigorate parishes, develop leadership capacity, and help create cultures of mission and evangelization. We are based in Nova Scotia, Canada but work globally, with offices and staff in the Canada, USA, UK, Australia, and growing!
